Clearer now?

As for the rest of your meaningless ramblings they are of little value.

Android differentiated itself from Apple by copying Apple? Huh? what a muppet!

Android is open source, any and all manufacturers can use it as long as they comply with the open source license free of charge!

With everyone able to use Android for free, what possible incentive can anyone have to follow Nokia with its Microsoft tax and lockins.

Microsoft don't rule smartphone hardware the way they tried with PC's

Unlucky!

Android was a iOS copycat, and just a software company. They found a niche by licensing their software to whomever as a way to get a handle on the market. If Apple did the same move, they would own the whole world. They didnt, because they focus on high end, and that has always been their moto. Produce the best product possible and people will buy. And people did. Nobody believed that people would splurge for iphone in 2007 $500. Closed system, wild success. Android jealous, they go and license to everyone and their grandmother. Everyone jealous and want piece of the pie. Apple making huge profits, and pulls everyone forward. Closed system pulling everyone up. Go figure. Go finish college, learn better english and you may have future.

Curious? Where did I say everything "related" to Android, I am fairly sure I only mentioned Android itself and we covered that earlier.

I can dig out the link again for you if you want to reread it?.

And no not an Android fanbpoy, I do however fully support Open and Android certainly falls into that category as does Maemo nearly.

Here Mike, I dug it out for you to read anyway in case you are confused.

http://source.android.com/source/index.html

and since Androids success is directly proportional to Nokia and Microsofts total abject failure then it is relevant to this topic.

cheers

Not that I intend to unblock you but I will say, in a strange way I actually support you.

When Nokia realises this current strategy is failing abysmally they may choose more wisely.

The only real option left on the table for them is Android, Jolla maybe but its a long shot for now.

Nokia hardware paired with decent truly opensource software and/or their hardware fully opened for all to use will catapult Nokias shares.

Hopefully we can then get back the innovation and quality Nokia was always known for and they can start once more to put their customers first.

It is never about the profits, always about the customers.

I also hope one day you may come to realise this too.

Just ask Apple. Customer friendly stores, customer friendly exchanges, superb hardware and superb software. AND FREAKISHLY CLOSED SYSTEM!

Success on the market has nothing to do with open UI.

You can compare Android with "Mer Core". Both is unusable for the enduser. Both needs drivers and apps on top of it and those are often not opensource.

What makes me pissed is when people often think that if you use Android phones everything is SOOOO open sooo fantastic sooo your friend.

Its time for people to wakeup. I dont like Nokias decision going Microsoft route but Google is the same **** as Microsoft. Both are in bed with NSA non of them is your friend. Its bussiness as usual.

Many young people has been brainwashed by Google's Android as my generation has been brainwashed by Microsoft!

I disagree completely.
MS is no longer M$, not "evil" anymore but just another proprietary tech corp doing business in the world.

With that said Google is a mountain of a difference.
I won't call them "un-evil" but they are quite friendly, especially lately with Linux. There's been a few things taken from Android into Linux, especially in terms of ARM devices.

With MS they're turning a new page, in the new world.
With Google they offer options, solutions, etc etc.
None are your friends, but that doesn't mean they aren't friendly.

Apple... that's a whole nother thing. If you think otherwise, you're thinking it wrong.

Let me give you a little revelation, Maemo predated the iPhone by around two years.

Series 40 is NOKIA's single tasking feature phone OS which is probably the closest direct comparison to the iPhone.

Yes, Maemo predated it and did not sell well, but Maemo 5 was supposed to be their answer to iPhone or at.least the penultimate development. Unfortunately it wad taking too long for it to properly develop. Nokia just couldn't execute. Series40....is your name Tomi delusional Ahonen?
