Thanks!

The new ADW Launcher EX has some really nifty homescreen transitions and [what looks like] GPU acceleration for buttery smooth animation.

I'd go Ubuntu as well. Not only based on experience, but also likelihood of longevity. Based on how long Nokia supports its OSs, I expect Meego to be dumped for Meegone in 2012.

This homescreen replacement is supposed to be quite minimal and blazingly fast. It's called Zeam:

May be worth a gander on the Tab. Perhaps this is good for what ails your widget centering issues.

New Tab theme song? A surge of man-like manliness? The first in a trend of remakes of classic 80's cock rock?

You decide.

Something strange happened yesterday. I had a Think Office word document opened and had to carry the Tab with my hands full. All of a sudden I heard a strange woman's voice reading out the document I had opened.

Well one day later I thought to myself that is actually quite cool. I can listen to my documents while doing other stuff I am unable to do whilst reading. So went back to see how to make the device read out my docs. However, I cannot find how to at all. No such option in Think Office as far as I can tell and cannot seem to find an app in my application menu that would seem to be responsible.

Does someone know how to do this? Thanks!

@etuoyo

As of 2.0 (AFAIK) android has had a Text To Speech API built in for applications to easily implement. In fact, it also reads things in different accents depending upon the local.

It is entirely possible that Thinkfree would have this feature integrated. You may want to try the options on the keyboard. I've not been able to find anything, but perhaps its just really well hidden!
