If the device comes without a keyboard, maybe it can be added (e.g. as clip-on option). After all the device does sport a USB port, or if that solution proves to be to bulky we would have to make due and use a BT one (while having one or two replacement batteries standing by for our coding sessions ).

Phase I [complete]: Removal of hardware keyboard
Phase II [complete]: Addition of magnetometer
Phase III [complete]: Multicore CPU upgrade
Phase IV [yeah, sure]: Restoration of built-in stylus
Phase V [soon after Hell freezes over]: Restoration of n810 3-position stand

3 out of 5 ain't bad, Nokia. Keep up the good work.

Afaik Maemo is the only embedded device ever made which uses linux/x11 so I wouldn't hold my breath for anything else than Omap for Harmattan. STE have said they will make U8500 work with Meego though but you don't write a good x11 driver that fast, it takes years.

@Koajwujwer123: could you tell me if icq is implemented too?

is it possible that you have some kind of prototype with a single core cpu and in the final version it will get dualcore? or do you already have a dualcore? i still dont understand it...
just say 1 or 2

Koajwujwer123, what about the consumer device? I guess it does HDMI out as well.

Snapdragen is based on the Cortex A8, which is Omap 3
Afaik Snapdragon is an in house developed Qualcomm design and is not using ARM SOC designs only the ARMv7 instruction set.

GSM arena is speculating we will have the fantastic option of 3 colour choices...that should put everyones minds to rest!

There will only be one true Meego device, right?
Is it possible that there will also be a Harmattan/Meego hybrid? It might explain the (admittedly very slight) inconsistencies between the seemingly very credible sources on here. In other words, an N950 which we've seen in the trailer but is generally expected to appeal to a lower number of people but also an N9 which is 'true' Meego, mass-produced, containing some new innovations and marketed strongly.

It might be a tough call between these two devices for those that would like, but don't need a hardware keyboard.

i dont know how feeble minded most of you are, these users whove hijacked this thread have provided nothing but hearsay.

fine the teaser may have been leaked with no indication of release other than a direct acknowledgement from nokia. so im to believe a poster of 2 days over nokia...? really? proof, hiding behind an NDA only proves you dont know. to me its too easy to make a claim and hide, its the internet and usually when someone makes a claim they provide collateral ... you refuse and as such prove you dont know. no risk no reward, your typing is not enough for me ... an anyone else, but i cant claim to be swayed so easily.

i still cannot fathom how rediculous this all is when the fcc documentation provides a keyboard. ppl would rather follow the blind than look to the FACTS that we have. no fcc sticker, no story ... the early claim was that a dev device wouldnt need fcc testing becuase of its low distro numbers now a phantom device that is being used dosnt need any fcc testing at all ... ? its the one that will be sent to "consumers" sold "en masse" yet nokia has barely released 2 symbian phones this year, and im to believe that theyll get their **** strate and release two meego devices within a month?
PROVE IT!!! thats right you cant because you wont so your word will continue to fall on deaf ears. choose what you want to believe but if nokia has a "warehouse" of devices ... it would stand to reason to sell them before cannabalizing those sales so they are really left holding the bag, how does THAT makes sense, no part of your claims make sense.

other devices not pictured in the teaser should not be discussed in THIS thread which is clearly about the decive in the leaked teaser.
