Hi guys.

I´m Mauro, I live in Brazil, and I follow this board because I have a N800.
I never registered before, mainly because my english writing skills are so poor . But I´ve installed DosBox in my tablet, and I use it for a long time in PC, so I have a medium knowledge to how to tweak it.

I uploaded (as a nickname Geleka) configuration file for Street Rod. It´s a racing car game, where you buy new cars and race with others for money or cars. It´s a very addictive game! I play using a USB keyboard, but it is perfect playabe using only the d-pad on N800. But in the racing screen, there´s a annoying problem in the wheel, but the game is perfect playabe. I´m installing some games and sendind via Rubybox all the configs.

Sorry for my bad english.

Welcome Mauro!

This was asked quite a long time ago and received little response, but if you can figure out how to to correctly set up the joystick feature in Rubybox maybe that would solve your troubles when racing.

Otherwise, it doesn't make too much sense playing the game strictly by mouse if you can't ever win a head to head race.

And yeah, I used to love playing Street Rod!

I'm an experienced computer user, but not with Linux, so the Nokia N810 is new. But I am frustrated by DOSBox, because I can mount just fine on a PC, but which drive letter should I use? I want to be able to use QuickBASIC or other BASIC programming language on the N810. I have my QB45 files on a removable card, and I suspect I might have to move them to the main memory area/ drive.

Again, can somebody please tell me what drive letters to use?

For that matter, how do I see these files such as usr/bin/... etc.?

Please e-mail me directly using DrMWEcker at aol dot com...

Thanks, DocMike

Dreamweb works really nice on my N770. I'm playing with no sound, spanish CD
version.
Run with: "DREAMWEB.EXE /N"
frameskip=4
core=simple
cycles=600

Right mouse button is used to examine inventory objets, but you can examine them with left button if you drop them, then you can pick them up again.

Master of Magic is quite heavy game for n810 but when u disable all sound emulations, enable xms and ems and run it with 24000 cycles and frame skipping 3 or so its just and just playable.

The problem is again with the right click as you need to right click the city to open the city window. I havent found any way to emulate mouse right-click yet. If somebody has a working trick for that, tell it to me please.

I've been wasting time lately on a super old school game called Executive Suite.

I suggest that anyone should give this a try, at least once if not more.

Only problem running this is with Xkbd.

For the Enter key, for whatever Xkbd that you have, using Emelfm2 change the following output from

default Enter
default_ks KP_Enter

to

default Enter
default_ks Return

Actually, whatever keyboard you're using should have been given the value Return as opposed to KP_Enter anyway.

The only reason why I didn't go with Return was because that anything, other than Dosbox, this pulls up the Hildon Keyboard.

For a more simpler approach, you can just click on the center D-Pad and that would do the trick as well.

Anyway, for more on Executive Suite and how to download it freely, I found it over at this page:

Hey Addison,

after your post I wanted to give Executive Suite a try. I use it with Dosbox and xkbd. But I am not able to print any number which I need for the first question of the game.

Any hints for me?

I'm currently having issues of my own.

I need Ukki to post up a response on that error I'm getting through Rubybox.

I uninstalled everything today, reinstalled and I'm still seeing the same error message.

You might want to see if your number keys are working correctly outside of this game.

Many people have experienced key mapping problems with this latest version though I thought Javispedro fixed those issues.

Well, when I use xkbd with the browser I get all keys properly but not in the game. :-/
It seems that only the number keys of xkbd are not working.
