531 looks nice, thanks for your hard work!

The icon for the Audio Library to me doesn't lead me to think that's where I would go for the internet radio setting.

Is it possible to have the internet radio track info displayed in the top title bar so to save the amount of steps?

Side note, while listening to the internet radio a call came via sip and the audio continue while I answered the call, this does not happen with Media player, in a way it is kind of nice.

When adding a track/internet station to the playlist the list selected is the one that's highlighted back in the playlist menu window. Is it possible for you to set it so one can select which playlist they want to save it to? I have more than one playlist so it would make it easier if a list of playlist was displayed when I select to save to playlist.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'll see what can be done.
Meanwhile, the latest SVN revision got a handy download button for YouTube videos.

I love your MediaBox, Martin!
The upnp-function is much better than canola´s, especially browsing in a servers folder with hundreds of subfolders/mp3 is very fast with the "search function"!

Is it possible to show the tagged covers, or general problem with displaying server items?
Would appreciate a additional feature (maybe in future): when playing a song of a playlist i would favour the option to jump into that specific folder for checking the whole album!?
With a additional controlpoint function a dream would come true (maybe with Brisa-plugin)!!!
(please fill that "house" with life...!)

Thanks for all that good work so far

Thanks. I'm glad it was worth all the trouble implementing a UPnP client totally from scratch without using 3rd party libraries. We all see how "well" 3rd party libraries work in Canola (folders not loading, hanging, etc).
I always thought UPnP was a very unreliable protocol, until I implemented it myself. UPnP as a protocol is rock-stable, but many implementations suck.

Depends on the covers. Embedded covers should be displayable. But if the coverart is an image inside a folder and the UPnP server doesn't serve the image, you won't be able to get it.

Sounds good and shouldn't be much of a problem with local files.

I think 0.97 will have controlpoint functionality.
But first I want to have 0.96 released before concentrating on the controlpoint stuff.

Hi people

I remember I was able to have Mediabox running OK on my linux PC (with Python, Pygtk and Mplayer), that was when I started using the svn stuff...

Now I can't anymore, because of some "fragmentation error".
Python doesn't tell more about it.

So, Martin and you guys, does it work for you ?

Thanks

I've got it working in a ubuntu vm. I needed to change all the entries mediabox/trunk/mediaplayer/players.mapping to mplayer as the osso player is not available. Not sure if I needed to do anything else.

downloaded and playing with the latest svn, with a view to using it as a liwghtwieght alternative to Canola.what I use Canola mostly is playing my entire mp3 library in a random mode, almost like a radio station - playing with mediabox, there is a playlist button next to "Audio Library", and when I press it I get a message that it has added <<audio library>> to queue, but there is nothing there. Is this just my setup, or is it a known problem?

Also are there any plans to add scrobbling and last.fm support to mediabox?

Thanks

@Krazybat: fragmentation error sounds like something really strange. I have no idea where this error would come from. I'm running MediaBox on Ubuntu just fine. You can even resize the window to make use of the higher resolution.

@gowen: I put a players.mapping with all mplayer in .mediabox/ in my home directory. It overrides MediaBox' own file, so I can develop and test on PC and then simply scp it onto my tablet to see how it performs there.

@gazza_d: the enqueue-button adds files in the current folder to the currently selected playlist or queue. If there are album folders inside the current folder, it adds the files in there, too, but only one level deep. Does this explain your problem, or is it something different and a bug?

Audio scrobbling is planned and should be very easy to add using a plugin. Maybe somebody will provide a 3rd party plugin, once the new MediaBox plugin API is well documented.
