You can always PD it; that's my tendency for little scripts and such that aren't worth slapping a bulletproof license on...

OK.. I know I'm doing something rudimentarily stupid.. but the Beta4 says to SSH into the table to run the installation procedures for screen... so i did this.. and it still don't work... I get:
"Cannot find terminfo entry" for 'xterm'

and it crashes. I am now doing the install through ssh with the -noscreen option.. but what did I miss?? I even tried ssh -X root@tablet and still nada..

Have you tryed doing "./debian-installer -noscreen" without ssh?, that disables screen so you can use the installer on the tablet. you shuld not need ssh. what os version are you using? Are you doing this on a cloned os? The reason you are getting that error is because the installer GUI, witch uses screen, is not running properly because ther is a bug in screen witch is not alowing the GUI to run in x-term.

And I edited my SIG lol...

I am running Diablo on the NIT from the internal MMC. I am ssh'd into it from an Ubuntu 8 box using Terminal.

What terminal app should I use to get screen to work decent?

Try this, it's a fairly relyable terminal. The only problem is that it has unmet dependincys that you may need to get from a nother sorce.

EDIT: you could try to install the Debian version of screen, if there is a armel port and that it won't interfear with enything. (such as dependincys) I've ben able to get the debian version of busybox running in maemo for example.
