Yes and it is amusing that it requires a larger screen to get their point across. Look up irony somewhere.

Everything on Ovi Maps is free except on-device turn-by-turn, and many devices (especially high end ones) include a 6 or 12 month licence for turn-by-turn in the hardware price. At least one device (the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition) comes with lifetime turn-by-turn.

Obviously data costs of downloads would be the user's responsibility, you can either download on the fly or pre-download maps onto the device via your PC.

Why do I get the feeling that you're pissed the preview video wasn't actually taking up 3.5" on your desktop screen?

Wow, this really looks nice, congratulations!

Now, I wonder whether there will be apps for it like those appearing on Android devices (and iPhone), with similar ease of install and update..?

Amused but yes, perhaps that is it. If 3.5" is the magic number why aren't they using it? :P

(yes I realise this is for desktops but imagine trying to watch that marketing video on your n900)

They look like they could be brothers .... or father and son (like Brett knocked some chick up when he was 12.......)

I think he looks more like Judge Doom in that picture... Something about those intense eyes...
