It is hard to imagine as the phone does not turn off the tap sensitivity during taking a picture. My count is 4 out of 10 when this happens. Just tried it now.
Hmm. Shutter button is located on top of keyboard/body and my thumb is supporting body from bottom so pressure from up goes basically directly to my thumb. I don't touch screen portion from up or down. You have to have really fat thumb tip if you are having that kind of problem. I have to test that with my friends with "giants" hands, but I doubt that he's going to have any problems.

And after all whenever you are using ANY photographing device you should always give it, or at least try, maximum support by using both hands. One hand is always easily shaken.

But I´m sorry to hear that taking pictures is that troublesome to you.

.edit
I have correct myself that of course i touch screen portion, but there is no pressure on that point.

Thanks for your response. The back of the thumb problem is of scenario 2 of my original post, where the phone is supported partially on its bottom right corner with my palm and partially with my whole thumb (not just the tip) is leaning against the screen vertically and the pinky, the ring and middle fingers from the other side while the index finger is taking the shot. If you notice the touchable portion of the screen is about a centimeter from the right edge. The problem is in order for your curled index to reach the shutter, your vertical thumb can't be leaned against in the dead 1 cm wide border, but has to come inside the touchable screen. If it's hard to vision as I explained it I will take a picture and upload it. Thanks again for trying to reproduce it.

I don't condone how he's done it, but what I ultimately see is that he's bringing a counter-point to a lot of the hype. I don't personally enjoy the iPhone comparisons - I own one, can admit it ain't perfect - but can the hardcore N900 do that too?

</devil's advocate>

If anything else, you can ignore him.

it would be a counter point to the hype if
1. he was not making lot of it up.
2.did not start fights over big companies outside US for no reason lol
3.talk about other OS's knowing nothing about them just trying to get reaction which he as admitted.
4. admitting to making is titles controversial and provocative to pull in traffic
5. when he starts losing argument he moves on to new subject unrelated to the last.
he is just an attention seeker

btw i was not knocking iphone when i told him to buy one, you can edit that with any phone, i was just referring him to buy something else so he can go hang out there instead

No reason to be emotional child. If you prefer we can put the argument to a more professional footing. You may want to reference your sources, preferrably APA style. I wouldn't mind if you start with peer reviewed journal papers.

I will not react to your points 1-5 as they are completely unsubstantiated.

BTW, drop out of this thread if you don't like it, but don't be disrespectful as I'm not either.

No arguments from me. I understand your stance quite a bit better now though.

the resources wasted on yet another nokia mobile phone/bored toy-they seem to be churned out every 6 months-could have been spent on developing a tablet with a larger screen that could have contributed to the need to replace books with e-readers -i.e something that has the potential to be more enviromentally friendly-linking maemo with a green product is a winner-linking maemo with the n900 is not
