i dont drive and txt- i erm do if late stuck in traffic mind.. also change songs with the media player(or locations on the gps)- that is very simple on the iphone- dangerous on the n900

What I was saying is, maybe with a bluetooth usb adapter (like this : http://www.inspector-gadget.co.uk/blog_134.shtml) it will be possible to connect whatever USB peripheral

Heck, NTT Docomo's i-Mode (and other services) are partly based around being able to send photos to other phones easily. And it's a huge pull in Japan. Are they out of sync because they don't use e-mail for it?

no usb hosting is very annoying.
surely if the flash card slot was outside the device we could have at least had a flash convertor- so we could have at least backed up and/or sent pics from a decent camera on the fly mind(NO NOT BY MMS LOL).(or other things like that)

Which does not make interoperability really working thing anyways :-)) I've found it almost certainly impossible to send MMS to another country and quite problematic to send to a different cellular operator.
There are carriers that picture mms can not be sent to us from England and we get a message showing a web address and key to see the picture. Crazy.

The main difference between a mail and a mms is that a mms, like a sms, is instantenaously received by the recipient, and the sender knows that the MMS has been sended to the recipient.
When you send a mail to someone, if this person is not in front of its computer or has not a mobile phone with mail always on (and even so, this person can check its mail once every hour), it can take a long delay between the time you sent your mail and the time the recipient get the mail.
