Playing around with dpgk it seems all the telenor operator specific ackages are named ending with -320
I would assume the same applies to other branded handsets, just with a different number.
Digging further I'm pretty sure I could uninstall mwelcome-logo-320 and operator-bookmarks-320 to get rid of the useless stuff. But I'm not going to try until I have a way to reflash if disaster strikes.
Has anyone tried out the backup and restore process and know what exactly is backed up?

I too hope that a restore and backup might do the trick but i doubt it, how did you get that info about your telenor settings?
dpkg --get-selections | grep telenor

Assuming the packages installed by the operator have 'telenor' in the name, you can get the list by opening xterm (requires developer mode to be activated) and entering:
Code:dpkg --get-selections | grep telenor
