Altitude makes sense but if you use the GPS to measure the altitude and calculate the distance, you really don't need to go to the mountains to reach a kilometer up and down GPS vertical accuracy is very bad, that's why it only makes sense to use it for diagrams, not for distance calculation.

SRTM is the way to go for reliable altitudes in my opinion. I look forward to that option in future version of MeeRun.

I would as I've mentioned before love to see some kind of pacekeeping/best run-feature that triggers audio cues. For example if I want to run at 4.30min/km or faster I can set MeeRun to guard that limit and if I go slower during my run MeeRun will notify me with a beep and when I'm back at the correct pace another beep(different beep) will trigger. This way I can compete with myself and I don't have to glance at my phone that much.
This feature can be done even more refined: Let's say I run a route I often run and want to compete with the best time I've run before. MeeRun could then use the previous data and compare the current run with the best one for that route in the archive.

Let's say I'm running a 4km long route...MeeRun could then divide that route per kilometer and audio cue me differently at each km depending on the data. Let's say there's a big hill the second km of the route which always makes me run slower there. Then MeeRun will know that my average pace on the second km is for example 5min/km and keep me updated about how I'm running compared to my best run on that part of the route. When I'm on the third km of the route MeeRun compares me with the average pace I had there on my best run which might be 4.20min/km due to a large downhill etc.

I know that correct distance, altitude, offline maps and energy consumption are more important, but I mention my wish here again from time to time so that it's not forgotten.....it's a feature that makes for example running or biking a lot more fun

How do you overlay/draw the route in the Blackberry version? AFAIK you can only overlay a bitmap, which is why i havnt yet ported my everytrail app to BB, the QML map widget is much more powerful than the cascades widget.

I don't forget Training goals will definitely be supported (incl. settings a previous training at goal). But some time is needed...

To be able to automatically recognize segments of previous data is however quite a big challenge for human software engineers, though

Now that you went crossplatfrom I suggest doing a server side after you update N9 client.
Run the competition to the ground and create a new working and simple sport and activity portal.

Just a small update, release 1.2.0 is coming very soon! A little bit later than expected but also a little bit more Stay tuned!

Edit: I meant of course 1.2.0, not 1.3.0

How close is it to release now? Can't wait to try it!
Let us know when it's sent to Nokia store.
