this one I made at the Intel AppLab in Barcelona in January 2011 at the Mobile World Congress.
There I had a Q&A session about MeeGo Communities.

Edit: If you like to see lots of MeeGo devices in one place take a look at this one: http://img.ly/3sN1
I made that at the MeeGo Summit in Finland some months ago.

its a feedback loop, proclaim it enough and ppl quote you enough they lose sight of the facts its too much to sift through, then it hits blogs because they dont have the time to discover the truth so the story thats gettin repeated the most and is widely accepted gets picked up as fact then it hits engadget and now theyve set expectations for investors so when the "wrong" device drops everyone is left wondering what happened. then regular folks who are fighting for the truth in relation to the facts on hand and not hearsay and conjecture are ignored and deemed heretics because we ask for proof ... its as easy for K123 not to sign up, keep his mouth shut and sit and wait. no one asked you for any confirmations about claims.

dsmobile started this rumor back last year, since that time we have seen numerous renders, mockups, teasers. for diff fones even fones that have been 'cancelled' (X7/N9). rich green and even elop stated there would be only one. no matter how dilineate one with a keyboard and without is two devices ... sorry.

now we get something in the fcc and that is uncondtionally ignored for the musings of jester... i dont get it.

I "own" one of them (the quotes is because it's still Intel's property, but I doubt they will ask for it back; you know how this works). I was surprised when I saw the sticker with a Windows license in the back, but it had only MeeGo inside.

dsmobile has been talking about the keyboardless harmattan/meego device for quite some time at mobile-review forums call me naive or whatever you like but I do trust the guy has played with it... no point to spread fud during such a long time for an almost niche product.
Now for a business point of view it does make sense to make the mainstream one without keyboard if you look at the past recent years -iphone hint here...-
The only facts we know are the FCC ones... but I am pretty convinced by now the candybar one is the one going mainstream.
Anyway sure soon we will know whats coming... and sooner or later if Elop does not **** up everything I will get my hands on a linux based device regarless it has keyboard or not

the mailing list page, thats now private was for the RM696, not the 680 ... so take that for what it is.

this thread is still about the youtube video that was pulled and referenced by nokia, everything else is OT ...

what we saw in the video was eyegasmic, and i hope that the internal HW exceeds the bar set by the N900 against its contemporaries (who have all been relegated to the trash heap) and is somewhat future proof through the OS. if the N900 can be useful after nearly two years of service, ill be happy. i would like a modern SoC arch however, regardless of how fast it is now ... its how it will hold up for me down the road. point of entry is not cost of ownership.

PS: i like the tag (although i dont drink any coffee )

My advice to other N900 enthusiasts is wait and see too.
Problem is we all have "wait and see" for about a year now. Soo I guess we all are a bit annoyed about this...

Sometimes I think its a strategy from Nokia make all OpenSource people to gety angry on each other instead of focus on the mainstuff making apps for the platform

ive been saying this all along .. just wait. the only reason its 50/50 is because your cohort is diverging from the information on hand. otherwise thered be no doubt, (from the FCC/teaser/acknowledgement) about this specific device and the thread wouldnt have gotten OT or out of hand.

but thanks for getting us to 50/50!
