I've been in few situations similar to you and others where I knew stuff about future DSLRs that were not announced yet. (I was a DSLR junkie and also was assigned to do the translation of English-written marketing info into Korean before the world announcement) I had the full spec sheet, information about its new technical features etc. So yeah, I had 100% official/complete information. (not just some small hints from insiders)

I wasn't under NDA so I answered a few questions in the forums where I had "good reputation". NO ONE would believe me still. lol. Everyone called me a liar and told me to prove it. I had to just laugh as I knew they will eat their words later. =P

Well, I hope what you said or assumed or told so far is correct. (especially the possibility of 720p LCD, STE U8500 etc) As any lesser hardware is going to be a bit disappointing now. You got my expectations up real high. =P

ST Ericsson. Well, as said, I only was told it will have the same CPU as their future WinPhone devices. Having that information and the information from the mailing-list and bug-tracker I think it is the STE one. But I'm not 100% sure regarding this one.
As said as well, I haven't had any information regarding the consumer device until one day ago.

It is the age old human reaction and response of the have's and have-not's: envy. Why should this guy know more than I do, what makes him so special?

I for one am happy for the guys who could make it to SF for the conference, as they are in the forefront of mobile open source development. If they come back with a hwkb devel-only N9, great! If I can't get my hands on with one, pity. If I am to be even happier with the consumer hwkb-less N9, even better.

If you get your panties in a wad because someone posts information (or disinformation for that matter) on TMO, maybe you take this stuff a bit too seriously. If your livelyhood actually depends on this kind of information (or lack therof), maybe it's time to position yourself differently in the industry so you'll be the one with the NDA next time something this exciting is taking place.
