hmm, just called nokia UK and the new release date they have been given is the 19th of November.
seems logical as the meetup is on the 17th, so 2 days later the phone starts shipping.
Damn, i've never really waited so eagerly for a phone.

Just checked with Mobile Phones Direct again and they are still stating the 16th Nov for dispatch...I know that's what they always said but I just wanted to prod them to see if they had any updated info, thought they might have got them earlier

End Result: UK shipments arrive same time as result of the world, just in time to preorder the Maemo 6 device!
