But thinking logical I can't imagine the consumer device to have a lesser screen than the dev-device.
Does this mean you're confirming that the dev device's native resolution is very, very close or equal to 720p?

Ah but i imagine the majority of the posters on here are non developers and more enthusiasts.. it just doesn't seem logical to put the device out this way..

Why give developers a device with keyboard and then ask them to get working on things that make no use of it?

Well observed, it is not logical and it does not make any sense.

This guy can be playing with 10 unreleased devices and prototypes manufactured by Nokia, I don't doubt that, but this "developer device"/"consumer device" story sounds like some crap he came up with to make sense of incomplete information he got.

I'm really sorry that you're disappointed at the moment even if it wasn't my decicion...
Hope you'll still like the device when you'll get your hands on it.
I am as disappointed with your revelations as I am disappointed with the recent news of the end of the world. I only hope our non-overlapping groups of developers and of consumers don't be "raptured" to Iphone and WP7...

There was a package in Harmaatan package list for such thing in the link i posted whats now been blocked.
That does not mean there is a scanner on any of the devices that will be released though as many devices was being worked on at same time, so I'm afraid its another waiting Game.

@ zehjotkah: After reading these posts all day (and ruining my lovelife) I've decided to throw in the towel and accept that you and others are correct about the dev and no kb devices. But now I'm stuck... my fear of no kb is compounded by fear of no apps in the ovi/nokia store because (correct me if I'm wrong) an OS this fresh won't have foursquare/CNN/Angry Birds/etc. That puts me off even more.

im back ...

im not callin anyone a liar, i just need somethin substanitive in order to garner trust, i believe some of what zeh is saying but he wont be vindicated this week by his own admission which is ok. K123 otoh ... just started out.

the ad isnt hacked together though zeh:

every scene foreshadows an interaction with the device, its a simple ad but meaningful and deliberate so im not sure what the point was about the commercial being a hackjob.
