I will have to offer my apology. I am not taking part this time, even in case of an extension. The theme is too esoteric for me.

I shot this a few days before the theme was announced . . . an amateur photographer trying to capture a snapshot of the once-in-a-lifetime event unfolding all around him. Lens as high as he can get it for best POV of hundreds of thousands of his closest friends and neighbors gathered on the hillside and valley in front and behind him.

I had a shot of a 'real' photographer setting up the same shot with his SLR and equipment bag over his shoulder, but the camera itself is hidden from view by his head and shoulders. I loved view from behind so you could get his subject too, but without the device it just doesn't work. Can't really go back for another try either.

I decided we should go with bi-monthly because I don't want a situation where no one enters the competition. And since I can't really encourage you to snap photos (it's not like you get any awards when you win the competition apart from choosing the theme) that's the best thing to do right now.

So keep snapping photos, we want a lot of photos to vote from.

I really have to fix my N900, it's begging for a USB port repair. But, I have to get some decent tools to take it apart. If I had money oh would I pimp it up.
