Yup...slow ...very very slow burning...
More like a slight rash than an actual burn ...even.

Yup maemo 4 is quite different...
I prefer the layout frankly...to 5 or 6...
Personal tastes.

I am sure you will fond lots to do with it.

No wonder then that they crashed and burnt like that. Users do not expect a new OS with every HW model release. They expect continuity. Most old Windows XP apps still work in Windows 10. Old Android 2.x apps still work in Android 7.x. Heck, my daughter can still install some apps from Google Play on her ancient Android 2.3 phone. Break the continuity and you lose customers like water from a sieve.

When my N900 was under repair (In 2011), I used an N810 for two weeks (borrowed from uni department). It was a lovely device, which was kind of OK for some of the stuff I would want, but...

Aside of some very lightweight on-the-go hacking (terminal and IRC) and browsing some very old webpages (after all the browser is 10 years old), and watching very low-res videos (I doubt it would play H.265 in 720p), I don't see what use case it would have these days.

However, if there were a device with a similar form factor but up-to-date hardware, I would buy that instantly.

There is coming Neo900, but I think there should be coming Neo810 too!

Are there working internet radio applications for N810? The speakers are good, I used to listen a lot of radio with my N810 years ago.

Also, does the email notifier for Gmail still work?

N810 has a lot of advs compare to N900 to me, it's build quality is much better and screen is bigger. Also I prefer Maemo 4's UI and system to Maemo 5...

Other like Endsormeans also prefers resistive screen (to Maemo 6?)
