Nokia are a business and have chosen a path of using the OSS community phenomenon to reduce their overheads specifically after sales support and development. Unlike Apple who do the opposite and make a killing from their Applications store.

I will throw some pics what I have done with N900 and MyPaint..

I have tried to find out what you can do with MyPaint Brush engine..

I have done lot of custom brushes for MyPaint... And I am quite happy to result and how these brushes react to pressure sensitivity.

There is still more to explore.
