In this case, I would say that next week is the mighty week, so to all those who aren't using the n900 everyday, prepare it!

Question - is whatsapp and youtube still working, I noticed that on mine, they doesn't. I'm using yappari for whatsapp and Cutetube for youtube.
Are different applications for that now?

Still undecided
What a coincidence - right now I'm also wondering if cloning ar setting up new is the better choice. One attempt to clone though, ended up a bit messy - broken bootloader, blah blah, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. It's just that I ended up with 5 devices that are all working, while two of them are set up so individually and with love to details that I would hate to see them drop dead one day without a clone on the shelf! So I guess I'll give cloning another try. My approach would be:
- BackupMenu: create images of rootfs and optfs
- BackupMenu: use USB-Storage to backup other files
OTHER DEVICE:
- install same kernel and same version of BackupMenu
- restore saved backups

Or is there a better way?

That's the way to go.

It worked two times flawlessly (and once a bit with hurdles, but as you said nothing that couldn't be fixed)

I was charging my n900 until the led was green. Unfortunately the original battary since release day tricked me and was out of ...POWER!

Need a new battary today or maybe I can walk around contantly connected to powerbank...POO!

Still got my original N900. She's getting a bit cranky now, doesn't wake up when I open the keyboard and keyboard lights don't work, bezel is very worn, screen is perfect though. USB connector is still firmly fixed too

Absolutely miss going into my local electricals retailers and playing about with Pierogi or TV-B-Gone, changing channels on all the TVs, much to their annoyance.

Well, end of day 1.
I was surprised to see how well the mail application is still working.

Now the negative aspects - the web browser is not working properly, often i see some certificate invalid messages, I tried opera, but that also isn't working well.
I couldn't find a way to make Youtube to work.
No whatsapp (although with a good web browser I could use whatsapp online).
I'll try to find solutions fro the above issues tomorow.

Let's try to keep this device away of planned obsolescence
