Hi, I have read that guide and also this one:

https://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation...mo_Flasher-3.5

I have also got several programs:

maemo_flasher-3.5_2.5.2.2.exe
WinFlasher_3.12.1.exe

But none of them work for me after installing them.

I have also seen this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1zvRjL-2cM

Maybe the problem is my system (Windows 10)?

I have thought about installing XP SP3 or using Linux.

I also have another question about the files to install. I have these three:

RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin
RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin

Do I have to install RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38 and then the EMMC? Or do I have to install RX-51_2009SE_20.2010.36-2 and EMMC first and then RX-51_2009SE_21.2011.38?

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

It seems you read but ...

Win10 is a 64bit system.
deutch1976 confirmedbflasher works, BUT did you also put the libusb libraries in place?

Flashing N900 is always eMMC first, then combined (without starting up in between). In special cases when system does not boot or flash does not work yuo have to do combined - eMMC - combined.

For the combined image just take the latest 2001-38, once.

Thank you so much for help me. I have the libusb0.dll file in the flasher-3.5 folder (maemo flasher), but flasher-3.5.exe still doesn't work.

I have also tried WinFlasher (with libusb0.dll file in the folder), but it doesn't work either.

When I try to open either program, a command window opens and closes in less than a second.

Is BFlasher another program?

___
This is what I read:

Option 6
The Flasher (version 3.5) uses the libUSB drivers it finds in it's installed folder. Download the libusb library, and simply copy the right libusb.dll version to the folder you've installed Flasher to. So, rename libusb0_x86.dll to libusb0.dll for x86-systems (32-bit) or copy libusb0.dll from the amd64-folder for 64-bit systems.

So do I read/guess right: gou double-click flasher.exe and wonder why it closes on its own?
Again flasher is a CommandLineInterface tool and you need to open a command line, a DOS box, a shell, a black text input, name it you like (windows key + r, type cmd).
Then navigate to the directory where flasher is located with command 'cd':
cd "c:/program files (x86)/maemo-flasher"
or similar
and then execute it by typing
flasher-3.5.exe

If my guess is wrong please let us know what you did (precise steps) and wwhy do you think it is not working...

Look at my signature.
There's A LOT to wade through, considering all of my 3 N900-related articles contain many links to wiki pages that have to be read also...

I think your best bet is to boot a Linux Live distro of some sort just to do your flashing & tinkering.

Hi, you were right! I was doing it wrong. I managed to run Flasher 3.5 correctly, but the computer did not detect my mobile in Update mode.

Then I used my Debian based Linux distribution. This time the problem was with LibUSB, probably because my system is 64-bit and the file I had from LibUSB is 32-bit.

Finally I used the modified ISO "just flash to N900" from @Ulle. Thanks to this I managed to install EMMC and COMBINED. The only problem I had is that it took me a few tries for the computer to recognize the phone in Update mode (but I did this by pressing the "U" key and removing and inserting the battery with the N900 connected to the computer).

I think I have already achieved the most difficult. I would like to thank you for your enormous patience, without you the installation would not have been possible.

Thanks, I'm learning (it's being a bit difficult for me, haha). In the end I used @Ulle's ISO.
