I am interested in this, but I have heard that ubuntu touch doesn't support X and wouldn't be able to run anything not developed specifically for it (qt or whatever... not a coder myself...)
Is there any chance we could see an "easy debian-like" environment for UT? Without that, and without a stylus, I don't see the point.
A samsung galaxy note running maemo would be my dream device,

if ubuntu will use newer wayland, xwayland will work out of the box then.
