Not my actual entry (i hope), also the exif and file date are totally off due to my n8-00 having a weak battery and losing date frequently...

I will return with correct exif and hopefully some more action

Nice work, both the birdhouse and the "giant tit". Which of course, I'm always looking for here, but my wife's usually watching. . . .

Ahem, anyway -- what is the vegetation in the background? Looks to me like something in the ficus (fig) family which is not hardy in temperate climates, so it's gotta be something else . . .

Haha, english language is so cute when it comes to differentiation
The actual meaning of the german word Kohlmeise is "cabbage tit", thats where we make Kraut of, so "kraut tit" would still be an appropriate translation

Regarding the vegetation, no mate, this is a special kind of mate!
(No jagged leaves, tiny white blossoms and thus few harvest but grows up to 5 meter) .
A gift from my wifes sister living in bolivia, taken from her garden.
As a computer science drop out with rusted coding skills, growing a mate-bush-hedge is on of the few things i can justify some ignorant dunning kruger possesd people still calling me a hacker!

A wild swan that has been fed by humans.
I took this photo with the stock camera app of my N900.

2 weeks later.
The birds are completly cosy with theyr new shelter.
I turned into a hobbyist documentary shooter :P

All luck came together last thursday.
Sunshine for twenty minutes, all birds having party, camera setup worked.

I am giving up on achiving a better shot. Weather was bad since then and is forecasted as miserable for the rest of the month.

Camera is Nokia N8, Software Harald Meyers CameraPro.

Happy Easter

As I mentioned earlier, This month topic is a big challenge.

Here, however, is my picture (camera/phone = N9):

Well shot! Interesting one! Is it still snowing in your place? The OP didn't say it should be "real" bird in action, so that should be within the theme.

Perhaps I should take pic of my angry birds plush toys, instead of that greyish blurry real birds...

Thanks.

I took this picture 5th march... And yes, this morning came another 5cm of snow... No birds, even the nest is waiting for them, as you can see it background...

I'm amending my entry……

It's Easter Friday and I was in a small town by the seaside in Wales. Was in a pub where he stands on the table and waiting for any fish & chips to come out. So that's a real bird "in action", watch out for your chips!

Took with Xperia Z5.

One of the funniest scenes of birds in action I ever witnessed was a pelican in Tiburon, CA. It staked out a waterfront restaurant and waited for just the right moment to.swoop in and steal a diner's entire Monte Cristo sandwich!

Even more amazing was the speed with which the staff replaced the patron's complete table service setup--from the tablecloth all the way up to the new meal and fresh gin fizz. I assumed this happened all the time there, and extra servings of pelican favorites were kept on hot standby.

Coming soon, my best bird shot. Either in action or perhaps inaction.

Noticed a non-human figure trying to blend in between fishermen, keeping the unspoken respectful distance.

Action not so much but some would call fishing from a chair sports, so...

A Jolla was my tool and shot from bicycle using volume button as shutter.
