Another useless feature that I won't be using on he N900.
I have a few proposals for answers to your question.

1) Come with constructive suggestions instead of pointlessly complaining.

2) Throw your n900 in a lake.

3) If neither of the above are suitable, please go complain somewhere else.

This also applies to everyone else posting in this thread.

While I totally agree that the kickstand could be a lot better, it's still rather usefull. I tend to plug the charger (I have enabled "screen always lit while charging"), and put the device on the table so I can follow IRC from the corner of my eye while working

Now, if I could have anti-grav and make the device float pleasantly over the bed, so I could fall asleep watching a movie...

While i agree with the op that the kickstand is a bit unstable due to it being off centre, no other device I've owned has even had an equivilent to such a thing. I remain, as with the rest of the n900, delighted.

go post your drivel elsewhere.

The stand (IMHO) sits the phone too low as you get glare from the screen easily from ceiling lights...at least in my office.

Also its not great for laying flat and typing/using the stylus. I think it needs a 'foot' on the other side so that it lays flats. Might try to find an adhesive rubber pad - like the kind you get on laptop screen cases.

It's nice when using the N900 as a radio (internet or othervise). Although I agree the design of the kickstand is vastly inferior to the N800.

But, it's only a kickstand, and it works
