I'm having the same problem as cameris - I can log into mutt (although it keeps asking if I am happy accepting google's certificate, and will only save the certificates if I'm running as root), view emails etc.. , but I cannot send them!

The error is "No authenticators available"

I have tried to install "cyrus-sasl"

but this generates this error:

"dpkg: error processing cyrus-sasl_2.1.22-1_armel.deb (--install): trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/libsas12.so.2', which is also in package lubsasl2-2

Any ideas?

It would be great if I could get mutt working (I'd even got it all nicely set up with nano!!).
