It is just adding '-c' to your normal flash command, so
flasher -c -f -F image.bin
should be it.

Thanks for the clarification, did the cold flash and things are back on track...except that it seems the image I used was intended for Vietnam or something like this. I have changed all the language and text input to English, but it seems when using some apps la Opera or Twitter, that somehow the device is fetching this Vietnamese option from somewhere. Is any way to change this to English or do I need to use a different image, like for example some Northern Europe one...

Just to be more clear. I have flashed this image:
43AD05DD_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3.454.6_PR_LEGACY_454_ARM_RM-696_PRD_signed

is it better to use one of the images below? if yes, which one?
29FAD658_DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.13-7.NORTHERNEUROPE_EMMC_NORTHERNEUROPE

or

DFL61_HARMATTAN_40.2012.21-3_PR_LEGACY_001-OEM1-958_ARM

That seems indeed to be a variant for a Vietnamese operator (http://www.mrcrab.net/nokia/Nokia_N9...n=40.2012.21.3)

What did you choose to use that file to flash the device?
Now definitely you cannot go back and flash the variant 001 that you wanted. You should search more e.g. on mrcrab and find some variant that has a higher variant number and has it's suitable for your choices.

Oh oh

Be advised to not flash any other variant before you made clear that the one you have now on device is NOT an ASIAN firmware which has a special "cmt" (modem firmware)!

Flashing a higher firmware may result in no telephony.
Search thebigtruck N9 firmware flashing guide or forum for occurences of that.

Could be that you are stuck on that FW (but maybe not, do not know about vietnamese, for sure with chinese FW).

Try to verify with flasher -i (or what command?) to find out version of your CMT.
