Looks like it's sinking, dragged into the water by one of Apple's hand models. (Really, they must have an army of them).

In fairness, though, it is also a really nice bit of graphics work

Also, in all fairness, I'd hate for people who would like to contribute to something fun like this to think that all they'll get is criticism.

So, please join in! Mer is a community project, so let's make some community media that will look nice on the platform.

Personally I love the look of it and hope more people will post some stuff.

Wow, nice job Tim! I think the whole Mer user contributed artwork is a great idea! I'm not all that great with graphics anymore, but I could try and do something too if I get some ideas.

In fact, I was thinking of something right now. Don't know how to draw it, but it'd be a funny picture if someone could. How about a cartoonish n810 running Mer dressed as a Samurai holding a Samurai sword and standing in front of a slashed in half, dead iPhone like he had just kicked it's butt to the curb!

Great work.
I like the analog of MER for the Merperson.
I am a terrible artist, so I have never tried any of these..

Here is a thought thou:
If you could do more of the Merperson using 'Mer' and then follow it up with a space person, followed by,,,, you can create the 'Mer for the working person ANYWHERE' series of posters...

I'm sorry all... It is very good work. I just got caught up in an early morning free association and didn't make the time to comment on the quality of the art until now.

I wasn't complaining -- I can take critique. I just don't want others to feel shy about posting here!
