A great idea! I develop with PyQt since 2004 and am very interested in joining your wave. I do not have an account yet, my google id is ******* at googlemail.com. I could not send you any PM here...

This looks awesome. The website won't let me send you a pm, maybe because I haven't posted anything yet. Maybe this will open the gates.
I already have a wave account.

This is what I am looking for too. I want to learn to program and this N900 device has given me new reason to start. I have 6 googlewave invites left. Let me know if you run out. I will PM my address soon. I also suggest an online wiki someplace.
Update: I can't PM either

Hi rm42, just had a quick scan through the Wave. Found it very informative, and think that I shall start using Python instead of going straight in at the deep end (C++ & Qt4.6!). Will the Maemo/N900 specific modules allow for all the fancy Maemo stuff, like portrait mode/finger scrolling/etc.
Can you use Python to make nice fancy GUIs too? (Sorry if this is a stupid question, I suppose a better question would be, can Python be used to make fully fledged N900 applications?)
