Why OT? I wanted to contact them to ask if the firmware servers will go online again.

I'll wait for the official server status confirmation before uploading, but in the meantime I've found similar package torrent. this one is for the UK/Ireland

is it possible start a collection of the firmware and host them on maemo.org (or other) infrastructure, or would this stirr up legal trouble?
