because frankly I believe it is just trying to look like all the other ui's

Judging at least by the majority of posts here and on TJC, most people equate the OS with the UI and most of them advocate the limitations introduced in e.g. Sailfish UI compared to e.g. Maemo UI as "improvements" when it is in reality a mixed bag at best.
Anyway, I am glad taspts has clarified his/her position to us.
