isn't IRC integrated with the unified messaging application the way it was in maemo 4??? i have IRC via telepathy(-idle?) on the N810 and it's the best solution in terms of usability, using the screen estate etc.etc.
could one of the N900 comment on this please? is it really gone?

Hmm, I guess I'll try irssi first, that is always running in a screen on my server anyway. With the keyboard that should be workable.

I have it on good authority that Lcuk is looking at putting IRC onto a liqbase app. So I suspect it's just a matter of time.
Back on topic - pidgeon looks good to me
