Agree, something seems to be buggy, I'll appreciate if you provide syslog for the reboot loop so we can fix whatever is broken. Don't forget to make a backup, just in case you got hit by that bug more seriously than the others and cannot exit that reboot loop

I have the same problem since I used "optimize n900" i have no time now to reflash my brick and reload the backup ...
but i found two work around ...
first: switch on witn USB cable connected ...
second: push the power-on button and keep it pushed until you see Nokia welcome animation

It looks like that removing SD card from device fixing booting...

Please confirm if device is bootable without inserted SD card.

Unfortunately no. I have u-boot installed, with both thumb and kp52 kernels. Both load but device reboots in a few seconds. I have tried with the usb cable attached as well, no change.

It did boot after I removed the battery (so the clock was gone). Maybe some of the fsck stuff takes too long for the watchdog?

Maybe the battery has run down. I got mine going by charging it on the wall charger until the LED was green, then removing the SIM card, SD card, & battery, then waiting 60 seconds, then putting all that stuff back in except the SD card.

Good to know. Thank you to all of you who posted work-a-rounds. For me removing the SD-card enabled N900 to boot. I suppose I should not reboot before next CSSU update fixes the problem.

I have the original Nokia kernel, + CSSU updates. but I do not know if this information is relevant to the problem.
