A while ago I did a energy consumption analysis in the DT thread of media player in several OP_DSP states and mplayer.

This is how much the battery dropped in each state in 15 min:
0 (400/133) -> 2.8 % (11.2%/hour)
1 (330/220) -> 2.4 % (9.6%/hour)
2 (266/177) -> 2.0 % (8.0%/hour)
3 (165/110) -> 1.6 % (5.6%/hour)
Later:
mplayer (400/0) -> 3.2 % (12.8%/hour)

Thanks. Indeed, my n810 loosing about 11% every hour playing music throw Quasar (mplayer).
Would be great if we can make a player which will set the frequency to 165/110 if this is the only application running and double a battery life.

not sure, but I bet that the mystical audio lock button in ASUI could possibly be utilized to launch a media player and set cpu freq..

have not yet. was going to reinstall xmms and play with it, but may wait to see what kroll devises.

It is a wonderful thing to see the tablets evolving. I am saddened by the disposable nature of most hand held computerized beasties.

how can anyone be in a rush to get free stuff?

I'm lost on how to get this running.

Perhaps someone could write all of the command lines that are needed to transfer the necessary files over from the memory card to the internal flash along with giving them the correct permissions so we can simply copy and paste that in Xterm.

It shouldn't be that much I don't think.

Anyone?

Just a few 'fake' screenshots and people start to being crazy. Problem is... To make a nice interface is just a one part of dial. Who will make a second part?..

But you are very wellcome, I do glad you like my ideas. I have tons of them, but I can't make them become material... All I can do is to make a nice picture in Photoshop.
