Just connect from comandline.
There must be bug somwhere in network manager. I have the same problem with ubuntu.

Why not use The Onion Router instead?

I trust the endpoint from HSS way more than random TOR endpoints; many of those are owned by "intelligence" agencies of many countries, including those that will put your whole familly in jail just 'cause you said you believe the governenment should behave differently than how it currently does, as well as by regular ill intentioned hackers, phishers etc.


And of course, TOR and HSS use different technical approaches to redirect your connections, the differences affect which programs are compatible with which system.

I had the same problem with Ubuntu 10.04 using the Network-Manager. However, it worked perfectly well using the command line:

archebyte:~$ sudo vpnc
Enter IPSec gateway address: 68.68.107.101
Enter IPSec ID for 68.68.107.101: hss
Enter IPSec secret for hss@68.68.107.101: 
Enter username for 68.68.107.101: zzit55
Enter password for zzit22@68.68.107.101:
 
VPNC started in background (pid: 5844)...
so I put it all in a standard vpnc conf file (~/vpn/hotspot.conf)
Code:
ubuntu $: cat ~/vpn/hotspot.conf 
IPSec ID hss
IPSec secret hss
IPSec gateway 68.68.107.101
Xauth password zzit55
Xauth username zzit55
and connect using
Code:
cd ~
sudo vpnc-connect vpn/hotspot

I had to reflash and now even though it says it connects i can't access anything on the internet while the HSS connection is being used

They always gave me the same name and pass, so i assume it's not different for each person; use "yo8h09" (minus quotes) for both fields

it says failed to connect... what should i do?? in our country they blocked like all the sites ... Please Help,, i used TOR But it Slows The Connection.. Please Help

Hey there.... I ve tried this "yo8h09" in both the fields but it says "Failed to Connect".. Can anyone please provide a username and pss for this.. The link of hotspot is locked in my country....

Please Help.....
