Figured Iceweasel would be the way to go but I gave up waiting for the loading of the bloated website.

-Fennec 17 - I used to suffer this slow starting and quiting version due to the amazing "save to PDF" feature. Later I have heard there are better versions than the one in repo's saying 17a.

-Opera Mini - does not appear in repository. Where to get it?
-Easy Debian (Estel) no clue what is the default password for using that GUI package manager to install / update IceWeasel etc..
Thanks for any tips that might help me and people stumbling upon this thread to getting the latest / best bang for the buck browsers installed.
Also trying to install iceweasel or upgrade. In the 'default' debian 5 image iceweasel doesn't upgrade even after loading the repositories, in the jessie image on qole's site I can't go past the SUDO either, tried 'debian' and my own passwords. Debian Chroot was no help either, nor was reinstalling.
If anyone knows how to continue..

Having had bad luck with browsing in the last few years on many sites I hope I can just use my Ubuntu-ized Nexus 7. I was about to debug the N900 QT mobile hotspot and Nexus, which associates but I think doesn't take an IP, when I cracked the Nexus's screen.
Waiting for the second replacement to arrive form China as the first was wrong.

Iceweasel within a ext4 easydebian image on an ext4 partition works too slow. Iceweasel on a Debian U-boot image and the use of a fast micro-sd card is a better solution I think.

Thanks but I understood that people where praising Opera Mini, not "mobile".
To try it out I had to (thanks to Nokiabot for the links) :
1) install something called "Phoneme"

It will create a few icons not called "Phoneme" but "Launch Midlet" and "Midlet" settings
2) use Midlet "Run Midlet" to browse to the Opera Mini files obtained here

There is a jad and a jar file. You need to point to the small file, the .jad file, to launch Opera Mini.
Very typical is that I lost a lot of time due to first time trial of this software.
To me personally, the Opera Mini does not offer anything useful compared to Microb. Big icons take screen estate, fonts are not so nice, no swirl to zoom etc..
Will probably delete it if I don't find use for it in the next month.

You have right opera mini probably doesn't have any advantages over microb and other maemo browsers except one (for many most important) it can load heavy sites and do it fast without slowing down whole system.

That Opera mini is actually not half bad, and surprisingly fast. Does anybody know how it works? Is it really (as it appears) totally written in Java?
