It seems both qole and qobi compiled in a debian chroot.
Probably a missing dependency, glibc-2.10-1.

By fixing the source or submitting a bug? This thread seems to suggest that this application is not being developed anymore.

If I knew how to do the former in python, I would!

Is there a way this can be fixed from within python? Looking at the set-focus stuff, it does not appear so?

I don't have an debian SDK environment set up to recompile set-focus (I'm on MADDE/QT). Would someone with the proper environment be kind enough to recompile it for PR1.3?

well I have just set up a vmplayer with the maemo SDK but I have no experience at all. Would simply compiling it there with Fremantle_ARM as my target work?

I don't see why it wouldn't. I haven't poked around the SDK VM since it was first launched a while back, if I remember correctly there's a link on the desktop to a chroot environment. Then you would do something like:
Code:
gcc -o set-focus set-focus.c

I installed easy debian and tried "fixkbdfocus bluemaemo" while bluemaemo runs, but it does not work, altohugh bluemaemo window swtiches to active window.

Now, how can I make the hardware keyboard of my n900 (PR1.3) work after pairing? Any idea?

Does the VKeyboard work? The keyboard option in bluemaemo.

The virtual keyboard works like a charm, but it does not have a german layout. either a working hardware keyboard or a german VK is needed, but the development is obviously dead...

Not sure why it isn't working for you, sorry. Is there any error output in the terminal?
