To be fair, the on-device rpm does have a '--help' switch.
I just found out there's also a '--docfiles' switch that lists all documentation, so this works:

How could I perform a (both installed and non-installed) package search on the CLI? The equivalent of???Code:apt-cache search
pkcon search someText
pkcon search name packageName
And what's pkcon? Is the combination rpm/pkcon something that some other distros also use? I'm not very familiar with rpm-based distros.
I have never heard of pkcon, and dnf or yum aren't installed.
Does Sailfish possibly use something like docpurge (Fremantle uses that to save space)?
