Got mine at Buy.com for $350 about two and a half weeks ago, and they dropped the price to $244 this weekend. $105 price drop out of nowhere, what the hell? I asked very nicely for a refund, and they said no. After learning this lesson the hard way, I'm making all my future online purchases at Amazon.

Reasonable price protection is a nice benefit. I tend to prefer retailers who offer it, also. Just sucks to be a day or so outside the window on occasion...

Amazon price today shows as 273.99 which is further drop of $6 (though tiny) and I called them again today to see if they will do a second refund of the difference (I bought it for $357.98 and they refunded me $77.99 on previous call when it dropped down to $279.99). Today is my 29th day from date of purchase and they gave me another refund for $6.00. Now this is customer service!! Now I am off to buy a case for N800 from Amazon as this little refund made it cheaper.
That's why my only online retailer is Amazon!!

I bought a video card from newegg years ago and they dropped the price a month later and refunded me the difference after I pointed out the price drop. I try to stick to newegg or amazon for everything now days.

Just received my N800 from onsale.com $239. Free regular shipping. No tax. Got it in 3 days. Like it. Seems fast enough. Haven't been able to pair to Treo 700P. Any Treo pairing suggestions?

N800 is the #2 Bestseller in Computers and PC Hardware on Amazon as of 6:30 PM EST Saturday Oct 20.

I guess the market for this device is rather price sensitive. I mean, I didn't really consider it for its original price (and its original features), but now at the lower price and with all the incredible advancements in OS2008, it is extraordinarily tempting (though so is the Asus eee PC.....)

You may have a try, they may grant you the difference. Amazon is very good, I like it, refund the price difference in one month is an advantage.
