My dear friend,
any change as suggested above makes no improvement.
Increasing cache size crashes N770 and makes it to run very very very slow.
Sorry, but your solution didn't work.

I guess thers's something wrong with your source.list file,but I cannot find the bad link in the list you posted above,
To increase the cache limit_size can solve some problem when you use "apt-get install" some packages,because it will download many packages into /var/cache.
so i have no idea about your odd problem.Maybe there's some network problem.
