WSOD is a hardware issue caused by a race condition during boot whereupon a chip in the LCD panel receives too much power and fries - it has nothing to do with any software you installed or red-pill mode. Unfortunately the WSOD can happen to anyone any time they power up their 770 - the only practical advice to avoid a WSOD is to leave your device powered up all the time!
