i.Tech BlueBAND - supports HFP and HSP according to Bluetooth Device Details on N800

According to box specs:
Bluetooth spec 1.2 class 2; supports headset, handsfree and A2DP

I can connect to the N800.
Volume control icon succesfully turns into bluetooth headset icon.
Bluetooth icon turns blue indicating connection.
No audio at all in headset.
I can control the volume setting remotely (bluetooth) through the headset volume buttons.

Haven't done any more experimentation short of connecting through the standard menus.

Would be nice to have a thread dedicated to working/non-working bluetooth headsets?

Headsets like BH-200 IFAIK are not yet supported.
Some code it has been already written, check here https://stage.maemo.org/svn/maemo/pr...-0osso1/audio/
and also in the new Os2008 /etc/bluetooth/audio.conf you can see that there are options for headet, pcm/hci (that is routing SCO data - which you want for Headset profile - the mono, non delayed mode that transfers data to a normal headset)

A2DP i believe uses rfcomm? so that's why is working.

But i'm pretty sure we will have Skype+headset soon in os2008

My Motorola HT820 and 320 Plantronics can pair and control volume but no sound on os2008 on n800. Has anyone gotten sound on os2008 on n800 working? If so, how.

Do you means bluez has been ported to OS2007 and let n800 support HSP? where can I get it?

So, now bluetooth headsets work in the new n800 OS2008 beta, but is anyone else having major issues with static?

I have a Cardo Scala-700, and it sounds like crap on the n800. It works much better with my Treo 755p, which is saying quite a bit considering Palm's bluetooth issues.

I paired up my Jabra headset no problem. But I am getting some weird clicking static and the sound is mono. Not really useful for listening to music.

The same headset sounds great when paired with my Treo.

Hi, I need to know what sort of BT headset to buy for N800 (after OS2008 upgrade) to enable me to use voip and listen to music, thanks.

From what I've read, it sounds like anything that properly supports HSP (HeadSet Profile) should work, but I think I'd wait a bit and see which are working *well*

My Jabra BT8010 is finally working in HSP mode on OS2008. I also seem to have a clicking sound while its connected. The mono sound in HSP mode is alright. Funny though - I could not hear anything through the headset until I reflashed yesterday. I could pair it, and the N800 internal speakers would cutout when it was paired, but no sound in the headset. I reflashed using the Windows updater and all is well now. Odd though, since I flashed the N800 with the same .bin file off my Linux box initially, and the headset was not working until I reflashed it using Windows.
