I got it to run with .21 version of the Mplayer .23 and .22 would not install. Working fine. I will try the manual install and link for .23.

fiepel, thanks for the help, but I'm a noob. Although I've dinked around with linux over the years, I'm far from comfortable with it.

I did install mplayer after it appeared in my installable apps last night with lo luck. No change in UKMP and mplayer wouldn't work either. Video and audio stuttered so bad that the first 5 seconds of a movie that plays fine in media player took about 1 minute.

Hi, I am having similar problems with UKMP.
Whenever I attempt to run the program, it opens says it''s scanning for media then disappears. I ran UKMP via SSH and this is the output I got
