Thanx!---lookin forward to playin these games!!
Zip the files, copy to your rom dir, and name the zip similar to the corresponding .rc file in /usr/share/gngeo/romrc.d/

Metal Slug 2 for example would need to be named mslug2.zip

Then run gngeo --optionsblahblah mslug2

You get them off your personal NeoGeo hardware of course!

or search around the web for neogeo bios.

OK...so, say i have mslug5.zip .....i put it in my roms folder...there's a BIOS folder there....IN the bios folder, or not....
....and it will ONLY work from commandline??

not from XMAEME??

forgive my commandline stupidity....but what goes where the "blahblah" stuff is?

ok...hang on...so, i'm starting to think the BIOS files should be in the /usr/share/gngeo directory right??...cause i have a BIOS folder on my MMC2 inside roms/gngeo ....i think the same issue as Matrix above...so do they need to be there?...AND, do the zipped game roms then need to be somewhere else besides my MMC2??

Put appropriately named, zipped ROMs in your ROMs directory and BIOS files in your BIOS directory.

I don't know anything about XMAEME.

Whatever options you want, for a list type run gngeo with no arguments.
Here's an example command line:
gngeo --sound --rompath=/media/mmc2/gngeo/roms --biospath=/media/mmc2/gngeo/bios

To move them to /usr/share/gngeo you need root, alternatively you could put the files wherever you want and specify their path as a gngeo option:
gngeo --biospath=/wherever/you/put/your/bios/files
