So would someone bother and make a bug report?

I noticed this too so I actuallly did an experiment by pitting it against other machines. The game froze on the last move the computer could make beffore checkmate was imminent.

Quite literally will not let you win.

Sounds to me that when a checkmate aproach the AI enters and endless loop trying to find a non existent "next move". It's worth a bug.

Unfortunately the Chess game engine is not done by us, it is an open source engine, and there wasn't really any way for us to make it dumber. (Well, any way within the confines of how much work can be put towards a chess game.) I did file a bug about this years ago.

This like several other (IMO) completely useless games are not installed and thus ?can't be uninstalled? :-(.

I keep meaning to go find those wastes of space and remove them, would have been nice if they were actually installed to facilitate that, but I suppose we were supposed to be so in awe of them that we couldn't possibly want to do that </sarc>.
