I have increased it to a value of 4000 and so far the browser has behaved with sites that previously choke. CPU now does not goe to 100% during the "connecting" display.
Nothing lese was changed, so, I'm wondering if I had a router/n800 conflict of sorts?
I'll keep on testing

I've gone ahead and added a new bug listing on the issue since wlan_sleep_timeout didn't help me much:

Someone already posted a possible fix, I'll have to try it out.
