can't say I'm a fan of mythtv, but for others using it, cool indeed

I've (beta) tested MCEGuru for a while, with great results. I'm currently using Media Portal. Unfortunately, MCEGuru doesn't support MP.

take a look at slimserver. you can stream from it, as well as useing squeezeboxen, and it has a web interface, with a very cool skin specifically for the nokias. there are also java based
apps for windows, and a command line version for linux.

I have mythtv, and also use slimserver. myth with vnc is very useable also, as I have used that as well. but I prefer slimserver for music.

ahhhh, I can't decide between this or get the Ipod touch and jailbreak it so I can mod it.

I like SlimServer (alot actually). But I found the interface on the tablet somewhat annoying to use. It just wasn't quite right. Particularly searching on tracks and titles is a pain.

mpd on windows?can it be done and if so where to download. All i can find are linux installs of the mpd server
