TigerDirect.ca just dropped their price and is now selling the N800 for $229.95+tax/shipping. Not bad! I might have to pull the trigger now. When Dell has their's on sale for $250 with free shipping, cost pretty much equals out.

I purchased a Nokia N800 from Buy.com Canada and returned it because it arrived DOA, they took over a month to refund, BUT they only refunded the original cost NOT the GST & PST. They said it was already submitted to the Canadian government. Buy.com Canada is based in the US, they probably have a warehouse in Canada. So now, I have to apply to Revenue Canada & Provincial Tax (Ontario) to get the GST & PST back.

Also, all their merchandise is made for USA and not for Canada...so Nokia will not support it since it was made for USA ...thus no warranty. That is what Nokia told me. Personally, I will never purchase anything from Buy.com Canada.

PS: Recently N800 was on sell @ Dell.ca for $245, and the price at TigerDirect is $249., check Pricecanada.com for price comparison.

The TigerDirect sale wasn't all that bad. I wish I could have found a free shipping code, or that I'd pulled the trigger on my purchase when Dell.ca has their N800 sale, but even with the $13 basic ground shipping I had my N800 in two days. I also ordered a Transcend 16GB SDHC with the USB SDHC card reader for $109 (it isn't available on their site anymore, too bad, but now I have a USB SDHC reader). All in it was about $400 after tax and shipping. A lot, but so far I'm quite happy with it. Ordered through airmilesshops.ca to also at least earn some loyalty points.
