Eh, people *****ed about not being able to easily move the 2007 applets, so the maemo team fixed it. Now we've got people *****ing about the applets being too easy to move.
Poor maemo guys. . . .

I think the best solvation of this tricky problem is to make applets movable by tap'n'hold for 2 or 4 seconds. This will be not so complicated like in OS07 and not so easy to move like now.
P.S.: F*ck the applets, please fix the frustating touchscreen! »_«

My take, in order of importance: should be able to lock/unlock, should be able to overlap (transparency a nice bonus, but not needed), and it would be nice if edges were sticky, to easily align things.
