Can't understand why I can't get any of the higher resolutions visible. On konsole it says:

executing:
java -jar /home/heikki/Imut/MediaConverterLinux/MediaConverter.jar

libxcb: WARNING! Program tries to unlock a connection without having acquired
a lock first, which indicates a programming error.
There will be no further warnings about this issue.
libxcb: WARNING! Program tries to lock an already locked connection,
which indicates a programming error.
There will be no further warnings about this issue.
Something wrong with loading of resolutions.
/home/heikki

Having the same problem with Media Converter 1.43..

Hi,

If you're trying to run on Linux I started to try that and needed to upgrade my redhat distro (which I haven't done yet). So, I've never tested it on Linux.

Is this Linux or Windows? If Linux, note that mencoder that ships with the MC (either version) is for windows.

Most likely: until 2.05 it had to be run from the directory with the resolutions.txt file (using terminal). I've fixed that in 2.05 to have it get the directory from the jarfile location.

On Linux, tableet-encode now features a GUI mode for those with CLIaphobia.

Hi,

I've posted a new version with a few tweaks for Linux (like a script to run it) but it seems to work fine on Ubuntu 7.10. I did install the java 6 RE but I don't think that mattered since running it from the command line seems to use the built-in Ubuntu java.

There's a linux screenshot on the download page.

The output and quality from this is amazing compared to what I've been using before. Thanx!

OK, time for one of those embarrassing questions: MarkZ, is this Video Converter to be run under Windows or Linux or Maemo or what? Thanks.

Under anything as long as Java exists there eg Mac, Windows, Linux, Solaris

So, Maemo is not an option.

I can't seem to get it to work under my installation of Ubuntu 7.10. Here's what I get in the debug console:

I've tried different quality settings and it always seems to fail... any ideas?

Thanks!
