The forums are better than ever these days with the answers. Kudos.

I find that any Nseries charger works fine.

It says its for the N800 do you think it can still charge the N810.
As nilchak noted, this adapter should work for power, though not for data without an additional adapter. However, please do be aware that several members of this site have complained in previous threads about these Boxwave power adapters. Apparently, at least some of the Boxwave adapters must be jiggled a bit in the N8x0's DC-in port before an electrical connection is made.

I have the Boxwave (Nokia N800 miniSync Retractable Sync and Charge Cable from Amazon.com) and it's defective--the DC prong which connects to IT is a little too loose. Sometimes it won't charge my N800. Wrote to Boxwave and they were nice enough to send me a prepaid label so I can send it in for replacement.

I had the same issue, the replacement also had the same issue, so I sent my order back to them for a refund, I hope you have better luck though. Also, FYI for everyone in this post. I noticed the charging over USB (when it worked, because of the loose connector) was VERY slow.

(Off-topic, but also, the n-Series power connector is absolutely horrible, I've had two chargers where the barrel of the connector started to bend and eventually snapped/ cracked. Good thing new ones are so cheaply bought.)

I got my USB charging cable from DealExtreme: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4860

It works to charge the N800, but when I plug it into my notebook USB port I get a popup error message that a USB device has exceeded the power capacity of the port and USB functions are temporarily disabled (the N800 continues to show "Charging" though).

The wall wart charger that comes with the N800 provides 800 mA. USB ports only supply up to 500 mA, and that's a maximum. They may supply less, particularly on notebook computers.

I have noticed that as the battery charge goes down in the tablet the chances that the tablet will even charge on USB go down. I have never been able to get the tablet to charge once the battery indicator no longer shows the battery as full. I connect the charger and the tablet starts charging and then very quickly says not charging.

dubwise, did that DealExtreme 7101 do the trick, charge the N800? Have you used it getting its juice from a USB port or from an AC wall socket? You happy with the purchase? Thanks.

The cable works, which is part of what you're asking.
One of the adapters fits the N810 power port.
I haven't tried running it from my laptop.
I'm not at all interested in risking my Thinkpad USb port
by plugging an 800+ mA load into a 500 mA source,
which makes my participation in this thread a little odd.

Until I can make sure that the flashing lights aren't, as I suspect,
an over current warning, my DealExtreme charger is relegated to
the devices that it doesn't complain about, such as my Treo and my powered hub.

DealExtreme tech support is on vacation for two weeks.
I'm waiting for them to respond to my query about the LEDs.
