Only people who have power on problems should be excited about this upcoming release... The others (me included) can pass it.

And I'm not all that convinced the power on problem isn't related to a specific shipment or group that was exposed to moisture in some way and is not software related at all.

As to the original question... I wasn't aware of any mention of an update or release... However, if I was to guess it would depend on when Nokia's next "vacation" is.

They only seem to release these things if they can get out of town for a few days afterward.

I'm not so bothered about power-on, so much as power usage. Maybe it's because I have lots of RSS feeds, or two jabber accounts + 2 sip accounts, but battery life ain't so good! Oh, for a dynamic clocking utility!

Of course they weren't working on that fix only.
They're for sure working on improvements or new features (I hope improvements come first).
Or they're busy with the WiMax version.

Well, with OS2008 we're supposed not to flash it anymore, but just update through the App Manager

Well, that's how the upgrade process works. Not sure what to tell you. :\

No, this is incorrect.

This feature is on the roadmap for Diablo—OS2009.
